Colombian company CMO Producciones participated in Iberseries & Platinum Industria, where its executives Ana Barreto, CEO, and Clara María Ochoa, president and founder, shared with ttvnews the most recent achievements of the production company and its strategic vision in the international market.
“We are very happy because the products we have been working on in recent months have already been released,” said Ana Barreto. Among the most outstanding premieres, she mentioned the second season of La venganza de Analía, an original production by CMO for Caracol TV, which aired on Colombian prime time with great success and arrived in September to Netflix to complement the first season already available on the platform.
Another milestone for the company was the launch of La Huésped, a 20-episode series produced for Netflix, starring Carmen Villalobos, Laura Londoño and Jason Day. “The great news is that at the beginning of this week we are already at number six globally in series. That shows the quality of the productions we are making and the ability to tell different stories,” Barreto highlighted.
The executive also emphasized that CMO does not work as a traditional distributor: “We develop highly customized products for the needs of each client, so we do not bring a broad catalog, but rather specific properties that we present strategically”.
Clara María Ochoa emphasized the role of the company’s in-house creative workshop: “We propose projects to the platforms, and when we receive the go-ahead, our team of writers develops them. We also offer production services to different companies in the region, because we already have a very sharp and capable machinery to take on these challenges”.
Regarding participation in Iberseries, Ochoa added: “This is our second year at the event. It is always important to come to Madrid and have contact with producers from different regions. It’s a window into the European market that helps us exchange ideas and stay connected with the industry”.
With these bets, CMO Producciones consolidates its position as one of the most solid production houses in Colombia, expanding its reach in the international market through original stories that conquer local and global audiences.
